Nature| Do plants act like computers?
Leaves appear to regulate their ‘breathing’ by conducting simple calculations.The fact that plants respond readily to physiological stimuli may be acceptable now but when Dr. J. C. Bose suggested it almost 100 years ago it was dismissed. Read about Prof. Bose multi-disciplinary work here and was not given his due credit for inventing the radio.
